FAQs
Does CHCS accept health insurance or Medicaid?
Yes. CHCS accepts many forms of insurance, including private health insurance, long-term care insurance, and Medicaid. We do not accept Medicare.
How soon can care begin?
In many cases, CHCS can begin services within 72 hours of a completed in-home assessment (we also assess outside of the home). Urgent requests are handled on a case-by-case basis and may cost additional fees.
Do you offer Structured Family Care?
It is our plan to apply to the State of Georgia in the near future in order to provide this service.
Do you do criminal background checks on your caregivers?
Yes. All CHCS caregivers undergo criminal background checks, including fingerprinting, and MVR (motor vehicle report). We are also fully bonded and insured.
How do I get started?
Call us at (706) 650-6613 or email us to schedule a free, no-obligation assessment. One of our registered nurses will come and do an assessment of the potential client, their needs, and goals. A personalized care plan will be developed and agreed upon before care is started.
What counties do you serve?
We are licensed to provide services in Georgia and South Carolina in the following counties: Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Hancock, Jefferson, Jenkins, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren, Washington, and Wilkes in Georgia; Aiken, Barnwell, Edgefield, and McCormick in South Carolina.
How do you charge/What are your fees?
Our fees vary widely and are dependent on different factors like client needs, day of the week, weekends, and holidays.
Does CHCS accept cash payments?
Payments for our services can be made in cash, money order, or bank transfers. Certified bank checks are also accepted.
Do you need advance deposits?
In many cases, we do. This often depends on the source of payment.
Is there a minimum number of hours that must be signed up for?
Yes. We generally require our clients to sign up for at least 2-4 hours per visit.
Where is your office located?
We are located at 227 South Belair Road, Martinez, GA 30907 (Across from Neighborhood Walmart).
